Join in the festivities - It’s An Early Canada Day kickoff in The Village of Point Edward!

Take part in the pre-Canada Day celebrations in the Point! This Thursday, June 22nd, from 4pm-8pm, head over to Point Edward’s Waterfront Park, located under the Bluewater Bridges.

The Village of Point Edward is abuzz with excitement as Canada Day approaches. The community is eagerly preparing to celebrate their nation's birthday early and in true Canadian spirit. Red and white flags adorn every lamppost, and local businesses are participating in a Canada Day decorating challenge.

Families will soon gather at the waterfront park, where children's laughter and excitement will fill the air. There will be face painting, inflatables, balloon animals, a photo booth, games, live music, and more to keep everyone entertained.

The lakefront will be transformed into a festive carnival, inviting people to stroll along the waterfront and enjoy the breathtaking views. The company of friends and neighbours will add warmth to the celebration.

Join with your family and friends to celebrate! Enjoy the free pizza and cupcakes provided. And when the time comes, join in a chorus of "O Canada" to pay tribute to the communities we call home.

In this small village under the Bluewater Bridges, Canada Day isn't just a day of celebration; it is a cherished tradition that strengthens the bonds of the community. It’s a reminder of the beauty of our country, the warmth of our neighbours, and the pride we hold for being Canadian.

It’s a time to celebrate not just the day, but the values that make our country exceptional – inclusivity, diversity, and kindness.

So pack up your lawn chairs and blankets and join in the celebration, ‘picnic style’ on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron in the Village of Point Edward!

The event will include a variety of complimentary activities, such as a carnival maze, giant inflatables, games, face painting, balloon creations by Twisted Chris, a photo booth, live music, free pizza and cupcakes, draws for Point Edward souvenirs, Tennis for Kids, singing of the national anthem, community recognition of the contributions from the OLG to the Village, and much more!

Happy Canada Day!
