Fix It or List It: Firing Up Summer at Porky’s for BBQs and Hot Tubs

The latest episode of Fix It or List It with Living in Lambton features Realtor Carla MacGregor bringing viewers to one of Sarnia’s sizzling hidden gems: Porky's BBQ, Hearth & Spa, located on Confederation Street. Host Carla, along with Gene and Jen from Porky’s, toured the store to show off the best in barbecuing and backyard relaxation, just in time for the summer season.

Gene, a proud Lambton County local, kicked things off by sharing why she loves calling Sarnia home: “You’ve got the lake, Canatara Park, farm-fresh roadside produce—it’s just a great place to live and enjoy outdoor life.” And what better way to enjoy the outdoors than with a state-of-the-art grill or a luxurious soak?

Porky’s, originally based in London, opened its Sarnia location in 2024 and has quickly made a name for itself. The showroom is stocked with a selection of top-tier grills—particularly the Broil King Baron series, known for its durability, rotisserie features and stainless steel design. “It comes with a 15-year warranty, and we carry all the parts here,” Gene added, making it a go-to for local grill masters.

Also featured was a Masterbuilt smoker grill, offering charcoal flavour with the precision of electronic temperature controls. “You get up to 700 degrees for perfect searing, and you don’t have to play around with vents,” Gene explained. “The flavour is outstanding.”

But Porky’s is more than just barbecue. Their hot tub collection, especially the Bullfrog Spas, wowed the hosts. Made with no wood, these tubs are built to last. One model—described as the “Cadillac” of spas—features interchangeable JetPaks, foot jets, waterfall features, built-in sound systems and side controls. “You can be sitting with a glass of wine and adjust everything without moving,” Jen explained.

Whether you’re grilling up a storm or soaking under the stars, Porky’s delivers the backyard Lambton County residents crave.
